Daniel and Thomas Jewett and their families first settled in Maugerville and later moved to Keswick Ridge. When more room was needed, Daniel and family moved from Keswick Ridge to the lower side of his property on the western side of the Mactaquac Stream. He is the founder of Jewetts Mills.
